1 Bottle Cap Magnets

Bottle Cap Magnets

Yay for Friday! 🙂 I hope you all had a wonderful week! I wanted to share a quick and affordable gift idea that was a huge hit for Christmas, but would make a fantastic gift for Valentine’s Day too.

I saw these first over at Lemon Tree Creations and thought they would be the perfect gift for grandparents and aunts and uncles!

Bottle Cap Magnets

I followed Tiffany’s easy tutorial and found the cute, little tins at Wal-Mart. They even had bows already on them. Everyone thought they were the cutest and I couldn’t resist making a set for me too.

I ended up buying a few more tins at Wal-Mart after Christmas because I love this idea. I also found some non-Christmasy ones at Hobby Lobby on clearance a few days ago. Hmm…what else can I put on bottle caps? 🙂

I think any grandparent would love a set of these with all their grandkiddos on them for Valentine’s Day, don’t you think?

Instructions for Making Bottlecap Magnets

  • Tulle
  • Poly Satin Circles
  • Clip-On Earrings
  • Small Tins
  • Adhesive for attaching
  • Images for bottlecaps (family photos, etc.)

1. Prepare the Tulle

Cut the tulle into small circles, approximately the size of the bottle caps.

2. Create the Volume

Layer the tulle circles to create volume before attaching them to the bottle caps.

3. Prepare the Poly Satin Circles

Cut out the poly satin circles that will back the tulle embellishments.

4. Layer the Components

Layer the tulle circle on top of the poly satin circle, and then place a bottle cap on top.

5. Additional Personalization

Add any images or sentiments to the bottlecap before sealing everything together.

6. Attach the Clip-On Earring

Using adhesive, attach the clip-on earring to the back of the bottlecap creation.

7. Prepare the Shoes

This step might be optional, but feel free to create matching accessories if you wish to match the magnets.

8. Make Additional Pairs

Encourage making more pairs for friends or other family members, customizing each set differently.

9. Enjoy Your Custom Creation

Share your completed magnets with friends and family, and enjoy your creative work!

Conclusion

This project is not just about making gifts; it’s about expressing your creativity and personal style. I hope you enjoy making these adorable bottlecap magnets as much as I did!
