3 Halloween Wreath Giveaway

Halloween Wreath Giveaway

EDIT:  This giveaway is closed. 🙂

Happy Thursday, and Happy September! I simply love this time of year. I love the leaves changing colors, the air being crisp and cool (okay, that is just wishful thinking in Texas), and the upcoming holidays! I must admit I have a huge love affair with September-December. 🙂

In honor of fall and Halloween, Crafts & Sutch will showcase a fall or Halloween inspired craft every Monday until Halloween…that’s eight weeks, and eight fantastic projects! EEK Weeks will kick off on Monday, September 6th!

EEK Weeks

To get us all in the holiday spirit and to introduce EEK Weeks @ Crafts & Sutch, here is the spectacularly spooky Halloween wreath I’ve been promising. It was inspired by a wreath in Martha Stewart Living circa October 2008. She covered a wreath in neutral reindeer moss.

I’ve been hanging on to that magazine for two years so I could remake this beauty. While I would have loved to remake Martha’s wreath exactly, I found reindeer moss to be a little pricey…especially in the neutral colors.

A small bag will run you about $5 (and you would need several to cover a wreath this big), so I decided that I could make this wreath look just as fantastic with Spanish moss.

Drum roll please…

I think the Spanish moss is the perfect home for these sparkly spiders, and the sparkles take this wreath from spooky to sassy. It will be a gruesomely glamorous welcome for your guests and trick or treaters.

Now is your opportunity to get this wreath on your front door.

Entry Requirements (one entry per person):

  1. Follow Crafts & Sutch (I love you guys! This is a huge thank you for helping me reach 200 followers)
  2. Leave one comment below telling me your favorite Halloween or fall family tradition.

It’s as easy as that! The giveaway will close at midnight on Sunday night (Central time) and the winner will be randomly selected using Random.org and announced on the first day of EEK weeks, September 6th. Good luck!

Instructions for Making a Halloween Wreath

  • Materials Needed:
    • Spanish moss
    • Wreath base (wire or foam)
    • Sparkly spiders
    • Glue gun and glue sticks
    • Scissors
    • Optional: Other spooky decorations (e.g., ribbons, skulls, etc.)

Prepare the Tulle:

Start by cutting the tulle into strips. This will add volume and texture to your wreath.

Create the Volume:

Attach the tulle strips to your wreath base using the glue gun. Ensure they are evenly spaced for a balanced look.

Prepare the Poly Satin Circles:

If you’re using satin for additional layers, cut the satin into circles and have them ready to attach.

Layer the Components:

Begin layering the Spanish moss over the tulle and satin, securing with glue as needed.

Additional Personalization:

Add any additional decorations, such as sparkly spiders or fun ribbons, to give your wreath a unique flair.

Attach the Clip-On Earring:

If using earrings or similar for decoration, securely attach them to your wreath where desired.

Prepare the Shoes:

Make sure your glue gun is ready, and have all tools within reach for easy access while crafting.

Make Additional Pairs:

Consider whipping up more wreaths with different themes or colors for various seasons.

Enjoy Your Custom Creation:

Take a step back and admire your work. Share it with friends and enjoy the compliments!

Conclusion

Creating this Halloween wreath is not only fun but also a fantastic way to express your personal style and creativity. Enjoy the process and share your unique decorations with joy!
